The Stone Angel takes home two Genie Awards

The Stone Angel took home two statues at the 29th Annual Genie Awards held in Ottawa, Canada on April 4th. "Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role" went to Ellen Burstyn. Composer John McCarthy received the award for "Achievement in Music - Original Score". The wins came from a total of four Stone Angel nominations, which included "Achievement in Art Direction/Production Design" for Production Designer Rob Gray and "Achievement in Cinematography" for Director of Photography Bobby Bukowski.
